Show Your GIF Art at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA)!

Since 2012, Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) has presented MediaLive, an annual festival that brings together art, digital culture, and technology. In 2017, the week-long series of performances, workshops, and events will investigate the theme: The Void. Does technology alleviate our anxieties or compound them? Does it offer a space of renewed possibility, or open up a more infinite abyss? MediaLive 2017 will question the tensions inherent in the technological void by welcoming the most compelling contemporary artists and thinkers working internationally in arts and technology. Their work will consider the presences and absences created by the ubiquity of social media, dating platforms, online virtual worlds, automated commercial interfaces, humanoid robotics, and more—that leave us feeling at once more connected and isolated than ever before.

As part of this year’s MediaLive festival, BMoCA and Ello have teamed to present an International GIF Exhibition. Talented GIF artists Clara Luzian (https://ello.co/render_fruit), Gustavo Torres (https://ello.co/kidmograph), Trevor Van Meter (https://ello.co/heytvm) will select the 20+ artists that best represent this year’s MediaLive theme - The Void. Chosen artists’  work will be exhibited in the museum on two-screens during the week long MediaLive event.

HOW TO ENTER

Post two original GIFs on your Ello account that best exemplify your work and the theme

EXHIBITION
